The right Repurpose.io alternative depends on why you are leaving. If the price is the problem, Buffer and Metricool have permanent free plans and Postiz can be self-hosted for nothing. If Telegram is missing from your destinations, Postiz is the only mainstream scheduler on this list that has it. • OpusClip Free: clips get made, but storage expires after 3 days, caption templates carry a watermark and social posting is not included until Starter at $15.
• Descript Free: 60 media minutes a month, 720p exports with a watermark, 5GB of storage and 100 one-time AI credits.

OpusClip is the answer when you already have long recordings. It scores segments for virality, cuts them into vertical clips and, from the $15 Starter plan, posts them to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. Pro at $29 adds LinkedIn, Facebook, X and a scheduler. It needs raw material with length to it, so a 40-second phone take is the wrong input. Descript is the answer when you want to keep making the decisions. You edit video by deleting words from a transcript, which is the fastest manual workflow there is for talking-head footage. Free gives 60 media minutes a month at 720p with a watermark; Hobbyist is $16 a month billed yearly or $24 monthly, Creator $24 or $35. Its pricing page describes shareable pages and links rather than direct posting to TikTok or Reels, so distribution stays a separate step.
