Monty is an AI video agent for short vertical video. You film one raw take on your phone; Monty cuts the pauses, filler and bad takes, adds speech-synced captions, music ducked under your voice and b-roll matched to what you say, cleans the audio and builds a version for each platform.

Monty (monty.fast) is a web-based AI video agent for creators, founders, coaches and small teams who film themselves on a phone and want finished short videos without opening an editor. The input is a single unedited take; the output is a finished vertical video: pauses, filler words and bad takes removed, speech-synced captions, music ducked under the voice, cutaways (b-roll) chosen by meaning, cleaned audio, and a separate version for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok and Telegram. Monty can also write the script in the author's voice and runs a free browser teleprompter.
Monty is in open beta. The free tier is 3 videos a month; paid plans start at $29 a month in USD. Direct posting to the platforms is rolling out per account. The company is a two-person team: co-founder Alexey Shmidt (product, marketing; formerly ran an advertising agency in St. Petersburg) and engineering co-founder Ruslan.

Sign in at app.monty.fast with a Google account; a seat opens within a minute and a letter with the steps arrives. If you need more than the free quota for a review, email [email protected] with "review" in the subject and we raise the quota on your account within a day. No payment, no conditions on what you write.
How to get a fair test: use your own footage, a 1-3 minute take of yourself talking to the phone camera, with the phone on a stand and in a quiet room. Monty is built for that case. A podcast recording or a two-hour webinar is the wrong input; tools like OpusClip exist for that job.
Known limitations in the beta (please report what you hit): some takes fail at the preview stage and need a retry; b-roll choice can be off for abstract topics; direct posting is enabled per account and may not be on for yours yet.
